After visiting mum (alone!) this morning I decided to take Maisie to the grey and drizzly beach.

As we were walking along the beach someone walking towards us warned me that there was an injured seal ahead of us so I put Maisie on her lead. A couple were keeping guard over the baby seal and trying to get in touch with someone to help. The seal had a couple of gashes on its side, but otherwise it seemed in a pretty good state.

On our return we found that the cavalry had come to the rescue! Or to be more accurate - British Divers Marine Life Rescue - which I'll now put on my phone contacts list - it seems like a handy number for a beach visitor to have to hand!
