My Life With Luna

Lackford Lake

Making the most of another bright but bitterly cold day with a visit to Lackford Lakes, nr Bury St Edmunds.
This is one of the lakes, that you can see that it is partly frozen over with loads of seagulls resting on the ice.   I really liked the almost perfect mirror reflections in the still water.
I sat in one of the hides where we've seen the Kingfisher before, patiently waiting when two (elderly) couples came crashing in, banging the door and talking really loudly.   Fat chance of seeing any wildlife with people like that around,   I thought the whole idea of hides was to be as quiet as possible so the wildlife wouldn't be put off by human presence.   Perhaps I'm turning into a grumpy old fogey :)
