Ice on the pond

I think its been pretty cold across the whole of the UK today, it managed to crawl up to 3C when Cathy and I went for a walk this afternoon to nearby Newton Park.  This is a contra jour shot of the fishing pond.  I am sure that it breaks all sorts of photographic rules but it makes me happy :-)

I've put up a couple of extras from the walk as it was such a nice sunny day.  To be honest, either of them were nearly my blip shot for the day too - but in the end the mono photo won.  Cathy is out with some friends tonight, so I'm taking the opportunity to pop out to Bath with my friend Stuart for a beer or two.  Happy days!
