Time Machine - hard astern!

Who ever would have thought it, Windows back in the house!

Janet's quite reasonably spec'd laptop hasn't been used for ages, growing increasingly slow and generally rubbish over time. We've resorted mainly to iPads and my iMac, but there comes a time when we both want a keyboard...

Checking, it seemed there were constant hard drive resets and checksum errors going on, so I've ripped out the old HDD and stuck in a Crucial SSD, along with doubling the installed RAM to 8GB. Well, it has to have some effect, eh?

Next is to find out whether Microsnot will recognise my Windows 7 Professional DVD (genuine, bought, not currently installed anywhere else) as "genuine". Wish me luck, folks. :-)
