A fitting tribute

Today we committed a beloved ninety year old parishioner into God's eternal care. Apart from a few years living overseas, she had been a dedicated member of the church since the age of twelve. Right up until the end, she was sprightly and in command of all her facilities.

The photo is of several objects placed on her coffin. The car is to represent her thirty four year old VW which was well known around the streets of Malvern. So often she was stopped and offered lots of money for her beloved car.

She was a remarkable woman with a remarkable life, and will be greatly missed by us all.

If the funeral had not been today, I imagine I would have been at the Melbourne Women's March to express my dismay at the attitude of the newly appointed American President.
