The Campbell Rhododendron Gardens Challenge

A place like the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens at Blackheath is huge and complex. There are wonderful winding paths, artificial lakes, stone bridges, pergolas, tea rooms and a million little places to rest and admire the superb plant collection. One picture cannot hope to encompass all of that - even part of it. A SPREAD of pictures MIGHT do that and I shall set up a full blipfolio of images to illustrate this marvellous place as spring gets into stride, (probably late next month).

For me, this place is about the actual flowers and the enormous variety of same in so many many colours, shapes and forms. Particularly at this time of year - the very dawn of spring- I thought that the best way to meet the challenge is with a close up.
