Soap Bubbles at the Met

We visited the Metropolitan Museum this morning, and on leaving we encountered this charming scene. We were in a bit of a rush, but I heard the bubble-blower saying gently to the kids, "Stay back." They were having a great time in any case :) Even more fun viewed large!

The competing blip would have been from the exquisite, brand-new galleries at the Met displaying their treasures from the new galleries for the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia--a long mouthful I know, but I have never seen such marvelous galleries. They opened last November, and this was the first time we'd seen them--eight years in the making,we were told (and that was just the physical installation.

Early afternoon we drove back to Northampton MA--see you from there.
