Amaryllis Five Blossoms

Our amaryllis is nearly at its peak with all but one blossom fully open.
I learned yesterday that many Japanese people believe the Cherry Blossoms are best appreciated just before their peak.
The idea is that prior to the peak one's anticipation of the peak heightens one's appreciation of the blossom's beauty.
Certainly this is a concept for meditation.
