Landscape Photographer of the Year
Today four of us travelled to Waterloo station to view the LPOY exhibition. We started with coffee and bacon butty and a quick catch-up, then viewed the exhibition by which time lunch was needed. When we were about halfway through viewing who should join us but Charlie Waite who founded the competition back in 2007 and this continues to be a passion of his. We spent a very pleasant 15 minutes chatting about the exhibition, plans for its future and generally about cameras and equipment. I think this is one of the best years for the exhibition and the image printing this year was superb. We had lunch at Sports Bar & Grill – great food. We rook a few photos around the station before departing for our various trains. My blip today is of Charlie Waite standing beside a couple of the exhibition prints. I did mention Blip to him so who knows he might be tempted!
