Sparrowhawk

Looking through the bedroom window this morning we were amazed to see a sparrowhawk devouring a blackbird.  We watched it for a long time, I tried to get closer to the window but it flew off with the blackbird in its talons.  Our neighbour is a keen ornithologist and he thinks it is a young female.
