Summer dahlia.....

.....lovely to stroll through my garden in the calm of the morning, quiet compared to the wind yesterday. A few birds were chirping, a cat was prowling along the fence line giving me the eye while I lapped up the sun.

My favourite dahlia with its warm, bright shades makes me smile and sigh every summer. Kind of gentle with a quiet vibrance, her flowers are beautiful against her dark foliage and she ages graceful as she changes colour - she's a special one.
