Interview day

India was a superstar today, we got the letter 2 days ago inviting her for interview a week after she had sat the entrance exam.  This is for the school I had the instant gut feeling would suit her, so much drama, singing, outdoor space, great library and opportunity.  India was interviewed first and then i went in, the deputy head said so many positive things about her and her performance in the exam and interview that we are daring to hope she has a place! Letters are not sent out until 28th Feb tho'! They had asked her to bring something with her to chat about so she took a smooth white pebble collected on our holidays from our favourite place in the world and spoke about family holidays, kayaking, cycling and rock pooling. On the way home she said, Mum I got in about my librarian duties at school, I said well done that was good thinking and she said forcefully, I was definately telling them about that. Hurrah I thought there IS a tiny tiny bit of competitiveness inside you and you pulled it out of the bag when it mattered! I just hope i didnt undo all her good by nervous non stop chattering in my part, Mr.W groaned when i told him and said I think i should have gone as well for damage control. Fingers crossed!
