lancashire coastal path day 3

Knott End to Glasson Dock 15 miles. having left a car at Glasson we drove to Knott End to begin the walk certain in the belief that we could then drive back to pick up the other car and continue homewards.
it is hard to admit you have made a boo-boo, messed up etc. but after 6 miles it dawned upon me that l had left the car key for the car at Glasson in the car at Knott End! we decided to continue and passed Cockersands Abbey, ploughed through mud and got soaked without any comment.
at Glasson it became apparent that the return bus was every 2 hours and we had just missed one - still no recrimination.
Eventually l returned with car 2 and the key to car 1 and we made our way home - now l know there will be payback sometime and the suspense is unbearable!! it hurts nearly as much as the blisters.
