Neil Armstrong (1930-2012)

So one of my heroes Neil Armstrong died yesterday. He was an extraordinary man, not just because he was the first man to walk on the moon - which I saw.
He had a distinguished career as a fighter pilot in combat, he was a test pilot flying some of the fastest aircraft ever made.
He was very cool under pressure, here he is ejecting from a lunar lander test vehicle.

So tonight, when I saw the moon had come out, I thought it only right to take a picture of it, where he first walked.

Only 12 people have ever walked on the moon, only 8 of them still living. It won't be many years before no one alive has walked on another world.
