Winter

Winter in the Pacific North West tends to me mild,  though Portland Oregon sure got hit hard this year!   This is the first time I have seen this lake frozen over.  It looks like a few spots are clear , but the majority of the water is iced over.    The birds were taking advantage of it  as they were hanging out at the edge of the ice next to the open water.
      We have had scads of rain and more to come with lots of snow up in the hills and the mountains.   I imagine the skiers are quite happy!
