View from the Scott Monument.....

A different day than usual. Some business to attend to in the big smoke , so took the train in. This was my first shot on the Borders Railway since it's 2015 opening. Although more expensive than the bus was there in half the time. Also it would have cost the same to park the car all day.
Once business was concluded, had time to kill before the train back so decided a trip to the top of the Scott Monument was in order. Hadn't been up to the top since I was 15 years old, and now 36 years later it took a while longer to recover at the top after the 287 steps !
The Blip is of Edinburgh Castle with the National Gallery in the fore ground. Another 2 visits for a future date.
