Scarborough Harbour....
A Coble seemed to be racing me round the
Marine Drive at dawn and If I could get to
the West Pier in time I would catch the
the unloading of the catch. Box after box
of. crab came up on the winch. It was a proud
moment to feel that our seabed was so
healthy. The coblemen were very happy.
Their crab were fetching £25 a kilo. But not
all good news - some had lost valuable gear
in the recent storm surge. A very dangerous
place to be - the shallow North Sea - if the weather
turns.
