Trusty boots

My trusty walking boots celebrated their 10th birthday by finally giving up the ghost, the tread parting company with the uppers - 5 days before I head off to Inverness on a landscape photography course.

Trusting no one but George Fisher when it comes to dry feet, I managed to order another pair over the phone. The size had rubbed off, so we did some estimates based on the length of the sole. Fingers crossed my replacements will do as well as these ones.

I have hiked 103 of the Wainwrights in these, plus a couple of months' worth of French alpine hiking. I'm a bit sad to see them go.
