A postcard from ........

Today, some street scenes ..... mainly from Galle (and nearby) in southern Sri Lanka.

The main photo is a flower seller by the entrance to a Buddhist Monastery located on an island (see extras).

Statues depicting the arrival of Indian Buddhists into Sri Lanka
A snake charmer near the lighthouse

Stupidly I did not get the names of the two monasteries - sorry.

Yesterday there were a few local birds - if you haven't seen them please take a moment (if you have a spare one) and have a look.
