Blunt Trauma

So, returned home from my weekend in the Wild West to find this young blackbird lying on the back step. I think she must have flown into the window - there was no obvious sign of losing-out to a fight with a cat or any other predator.

Maybe a bit bizzare to post a shot of a dead bird but she looked so peaceful and perfect, almost as if she was sleeping. Hopefully her demise was instant without any pain and I did bury her in the back garden.
