Evening in the city
I can be so forgetful sometimes. As I've said many times before, I'm not very good at taking photos with people as the subject. My photography is more about being outside with my camera, preferably taking a walk and just taking photos of anything that catches my attention. But sometimes I would like to remember to take photos of people, i.e. when I'm meeting up with family members I don't often see. Today I spent the most part of the day visiting my mother in Keflavík, and during the visit, my daughter in law Freyja also came for a visit with my almost 5 months old grandson Matthías Árni. My cousin Auður was also present. But I didn't remember to take photos ... and I even had my "big" camera with me in my backpack. Then in the evening, on my way back to Reykjavík, I came to think about it. Wasn't very happy with myself, but of course that's not helpful, so I just have to try and remember it next time around.
This morning I also spoke to my grandson in Copenhagen (via Facetime). He was staying at home today because he was sick, but he was in such a good mood talking to me, and I enjoyed it very much. It's funny with this new technology (being able to talk and see each other via smartphones). He was showing me all kinds of things he was looking at, and sometimes he managed to point the phone in the right direction, and sometimes he didn't ... It was priceless :)
