A bit of pruning!

On 25th June last year I Blipped a beautiful red rose from this very spot. Today's Bip shows the result of bit of pruning by the local council. I admit the dog park had become overgrown, but this seems rather drastic and is indicative of how the whole park now looks.

I was chatting to a councillor in the park a few months ago and he told me they were aware of the state of the park but were trying to secure help from the department that organises offenders carrying out community service. Seems the council were successful.

I will reserve final judgement until the Spring, fingers crossed the rest of the park recovers.
