Cromford Mill

Today we visited the Derwent Valley Mills, a World Heritage Site where the factory system began. It was to enable continuous production of cotton to make the most of Arkwright's new technologies and there are a lot of mills and buildings in the valley.

My blip is Arkwright's Cromford Mill which was his first and his HQ.

This afternoon amongst other places, we visited Bakewell and sampled their famous and delicious Bakewell Pudding.
