Wally Tiles

Today I had an arrangement to meet a friend in a local deli. In a previous life it was probably a fish shop as some lovely old tiles have been revealed behind what had more recently been shelving. Not long ago I listened to a talk about Glasgow's heritage of tiles from the late Victorian era and early part of the 20th century. So, I was quite interested to see them.
I thought the water depicted looked quite wild for the fishing boats and there was a notice on the wall saying, 'Giffnock ladies love Prosecco'. However, we were just in for the coffee!
