Buteo Buteo

Those of you with Latin will know that Buteo means Buzzard.  Which is "der Bussard" in German (die Bussarde if you need the plural).

I went for a bit of a walk after work to enjoy the sunshine (no warmth at all), and the buzzard flew into this tree as I was watching.  I had very little hope of getting any sort of Blip out of it, because my camera usually decides that I want an in-focus picture of branches when I try something  like this.

Your German trivia for today is that every brand of car takes the masculine: der Maserati, der Mercedes (although it was named for the daughter of Emil Jellinek), der Porsche and so on.

And now I'm wondering why I've not heard more about Emil Jellinek.
