You're damned if you do and damned if you don't!!  There's a fine line between filling the bird bowls to capacity so that the black Cockatoo doesn't have to turn itself inside out to get a drink and if it's too full the little guys find they have to swim for their lives because the water line is over their heads!

Honestly, it has been scorching in the mountains the last couple of days and we are keeping an eagle eye on the bowls.  I get very disappointed in myself if I see a little bird hopping from one empty bowl to another and then flying off looking all dejected and unloved.  It doesn't happen often I have to tell you and that's why I try and have a deputy when we're away.
