"let's off-road"...

A change of pace today for my cycle trip: Andrew and I decided to rough it a bit, and head for the hills (naughty - it's his wife's birthday too!) for a couple of hours.

I'm lucky enough to live at the foot of the Lammermuirs in East lothian, and they are the perfect natural playground for men who haven't yet grown up those seeking a wee bit of excitement. We climbed and climbed until we found a series of small reservoirs that must filter down to the main Hopes Water. On the descent Andrew went arse over tit into a bog had an 'off' but luckily it was a soft landing.

A top, filthy dirty, eaten alive by insects, way to spend a couple of hours.
