Sage neighbour

Thank goodness for our great neighbour Jan and her ever stocked larder.  We borrow so much more than a cup of sugar,  Christmas day 2015 they saved us as my heart dropped when i realised i must have left the potatoes (for 12 people) at the till the day before! Today i picked a handful of sage leaves for a meltingly marvellous beef stew that cooked while we were at the horses after school, from Jans front garden. The Sage even being a bit tatty looked beautiful decorated in raindrops on a drizzly day and smelt superb.
