Potato

Since we have been trying to cut potatoes out of our meals, I had a few that grew eyes, so I threw the peelings that had "eyes" in a pot of old dirt that I had on the porch.   They grew..so now I have 3 potatoes plants and possibly more to put in the ground.

Where I live, we can usually put potatoes in after Valentines Day or around the middle of February.   As warm as our weather has been for the last few days and continuing into next week, I might be thinking about putting these in the garden and covering them with lots of straw to keep them warm.    It is fun watching something we eat growing!
