Marmalade Day

Another dull day, and I noticed they had the new season Seville oranges at the farm shop. 
So decided it was the perfect day for making marmalade.
Our nearest supermarket ( Tesco) didn't have any preserving sugar, so had to make a trip to Morrisons in Heckmondwike, where they had plenty of  both preserving sugar and jam sugar.
Since our Tesco had a make over they have taken off several items I buy, so won't be going again, unless I run out of basics.

This afternoon was then spent juicing 2lbs of oranges, and cutting the peel into matchstick size pieces. 2- 3 hours later and the result 9 jars of marmalade.
Tastes wonderful, and the kitchen smells gorgeous.
Looking forward to having some on toast for breakfast tomorrow.
