Sunshine and Shadows
It's been a beautiful day but very cold and there was a sea mist this morning which looked lovely as the sun was coming up (see my extras).
I FaceTimed Scarlett this morning as it's her birthday today - she's 4 already! We've contributed to a Teepee that she wanted and Rach sent me a photo of Scarlett and Violet in it, which I've also added to my extras.
Then I went swimming - I've almost completed my 'Swim the Channel Challenge' with only 250 lengths to go!
Alan received a phone call from Furniture Village who are due to deliver our new suite tomorrow, to advise us that the chair and the footstool are the wrong colour! They propose to deliver them and we can use them while they re-order the replacements- which will probably take another 10 weeks.
As Alan was due to go into the store tonight to pay the balance, I phoned to speak to the manager and said that we weren't very happy and that whilst we'd pay for the sofa, we aren't happy to pay for the chair and the footstool. He said that's fine, but unless we pay, they won't allow us to use the other pieces of furniture. I also asked what compensation we would receive for the inconvenience, and they said nothing because they will rectify the problem.
I've emailed a complaint to them, but they're still saying the same thing that if we don't pay, we don't get the furniture, so they've really got us over a barrel seeing as our old suite has already gone. Talk about customer service - it's non existent and I certainly won't be recommending them!
Since posting about it on social media, it's interesting to hear that the same thing has happened to a few others, and as has been pointed out, they should actually replace the whole suite because the colour of the fabric could be different. So that's the next challenge!
Anyway, it's Tuesday which is my late shift at work, and this shot was taken in the Old Steine Gardens on my way to work. I like the reflections of the trees on the ground
