Self indulgent

Well of course posting this is self indulgent, and the larger your screen the more you will see its inadequacies.  But how could I possibly not blip my first picture of a fox?  It was that old thing of not a long enough lens and although he let me take plenty of shots before he ambled away, a large chain-link fence stopped me creeping nearer.

But what an extraordinarily handsome animal he is, lounging in the grass sunning himself.

I have added an Extra (up to my camera's more usual standards of quality) of the first hazel catkins I've seen this year throwing their pollen about.  They were in a very sheltered corner.  I haven't seen others yet.
