Lion of Berchem

This lion head statue was part of the gate of Berchem, one of the entrance ways into Antwerp. Nowadays it is on the corner of the Singel and Mechelse Steenweg where the gate used to be. I cycle past it on my way to Berchem pool to pick up Pippa from training.
