Alfred is a Champion...

Snoozer. :-)  
But, we've just had a good, long, fresh walk in -4 degrees.  I wore two pairs of leggings under my padded winter walking trousers, leg warmers and long socks and thick short socks over them.  Hat, scarf, gloves, two jumpers and a body warmer.  I was very comfortable thank you, but did get a bit tired from being so weighed down with clothes!  Alfred wore the usual - a very warm and versatile coat made of terrier hair - and was unencumbered. He ran and ran and ran... :-)
