Reykjavik

a view of the city, taken from Perlan, a central cafe with a viewing platform. it's a lovely place to see the city on a sunny day like today .(it also has a fancy restaurant, but we stayed well clear of that!)

we stopped there for today's ice cream.

today, we have been swimming, had a picnic at a duck pond (after a stop at the bakery). then a lovely walk home through the park that stretches the length of the Kopavogur valley, and means we didn't have to cross any roads.

then the afore mentioned ice cream.

a stop in the supermarket resulted in an unexpected bargain of school bags for the girls. so we are all happy... gotta love a bargain!
