Keeping an eye on the city

Day 0 - the day I will be getting the flu virus. 

Today was a cold morning (apparently) and I can see the towers of the financial district of London, steam rising from the top. No doubt they will all be sitting in anticipation of the "grand speech" today. Will there be any new revelations? I doubt it. 

But for me it is nice let the sun hit my face as I watch the outside world from my en-suite bathroom. 
Little else to do, the only human contact I had today was 1. vital signs taken at 6am, 2. blood taken at 8am and a cheerful "we'll be selling it! :-) " when I asked what would happen to all those samples that are collected. 
The staff are very nice here - seriously.

Will do a few more lightroom tutorials before 2am after which I may not enjoy my stay quite so much any more.
