Angel Walk

Went for a walk with The Angel and her dog Connie - took over 3 hours, but we did stop for cake! We met he Weaver Man and discussed the nature of cats and dogs, and of course I had to mention chickens which surprised him at how long I took before mentioning them! We were going to have tea and cake in the Boatyard but it didn't open till 12. We walked up through the woods and spotted Nellie of the Woods house - you can see why she is called that now! We called in the Pottery and I found the mistletoe hanging up there which I had left there by mistake after seeing the wassailing! The Boatyard was open by the time we got back to it - you make your own tea or coffee and help yourself to cake - you can even play a game of chess if the fancy takes you! But The Angel and I had not done talking! Final stop at the pottery next door and a pot to hold my hyacinths for £3 might have been bought - bargain price for a beautiful piece that had a slight chip!
A very lovely walk on an overcast day.
I liked the colours and  patchwork look of the  hull of a boat outside the tearoom window!
