Rose window

I am visiting York for a few days, using up the last of my 2016 holidays from work. I have always wanted to come here, so I grabbed the chance.  I am so glad I did. I did not get booked into my accommodation until around 3pm so I knew there would not be much daylight left so went to York Minster. What a stunning piece of architecture. The exterior is of such a grand scale that I could not fit it all into one camera shot. The interior is also very beautiful. Plans for the next couple of days include: walking the City Walls, walking through the quaint olde-world streets, the Chocolate story tour, York brewery tour, the national railway museum, the castle museum...wish I had more time!
