Big Airport, Little People
A reasonably early rise and saying sad goodbye's, we headed off to Alicante airport and onto Palma for the next leg of our holiday. It's only a 50 minute flight so the kids were unphased by the whole thing. It's great having a holiday in 2 phases but it does mean an extra lot of packing suitcases and making sure everything/one is present and correct so it was all hands on deck this morning.
Grandad Bob picked us up at the airport and whisked us across the island to Pollenca and our first experience of a 'family resort' - Playa Mar. Good first impressions, hopefully we'll feel the same about it as the week progresses.
Once settled and the kids refreshed from their nap, we met up with Grandma and Grandad and took a stroll along Pine Trees Walk. It is just as the name suggests but breathtakingly gorgeous with little beaches lining the path and the clearest, bluest water imaginable. The kids wasted no time jumping in - Little D fully clothed - and were in their element. We then had dinner at a lovely restaurant hugging the shore. It would have been blissful were it not for the kids (mainly Little D) making a run for it every two minutes, racing round the bar and heading for the water. A small price to pay for a wonderful day.
