Chokin

Whilst I love working the drawback is having to cram all the domestics into the weekend. Haven't left house today so emergency blip called for.

I love the Japanese art of Chokin. Images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold. The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the samurai warriors. I have two pretty little plates. This one with peacocks and the other depicting humming birds

Can it really be Monday already? Hope to escape from my office tomorrow lunchtime and embark on a "better" blip hunt! ;-)
