Well Done Emily!

This is my talented granddaughter Emily - an expert swimmer  - proudly showing off the medal she won in the butterfly section. an extra included of Emily in action. One of the privileges of being a Granny, is the opportunity to photograph events otherwise barred.  I was going to watch Emily in this club gala and Ali managed to get me poolside access with the camera!  
It was an interesting experience.  Apart from the problems of water everywhere, these youngsters are almost like fish and rarely have their heads out of water - just for the occasional obligatory breath of air!  I managed to capture a few of those moments, but there are a lot of artistic water shapes with swimmers in there somewhere!

It was a long event and, after a Chinese takeaway, I was very late back, home.
