He maybe getting it

Charlton and the harness saga continues with a vast improvement. Harness on and off we go out the back door to the decking where Charlton starts his falling over sideways trick , over ten times I stood him back up on his feet and told him (up) and (come) the only two words I am going to use. Each time back on his feet he did walk 5 or 6 steps then the trick started again. I opened the side gate which leads to the front of the house and the driveway which is a whole new world for Charlton , he stood up and walked through the gate and onto the driveway to the edge of the path no falling just looking to make sure I was still with him. We stood at the edge of the roadside and we crossed the road very hesitantly and back to the drive again. A dog was approaching on a lead charlton started wailing so I picked him up till the dog passed. Back on the ground the neighbour came out and had a fuss with Charlton which was readily excepted. It is very cold and Charlton was quivering and a little scared maybe so back down the drive and through the side gate we went and like magic Charlton toppled over sideways again and I could not stop laughing. I scooped him up and squeezed him tight lovingly and told him what a good boy he had been and in we went to the treat cupboard. To be continued........
