Hello again
Due to troubles with my computer, now resolved, I've not been able to access Blipfoto for several days. So I've got a lot of commenting and responding to do now.
Today being volunteer day, I spent a couple of hours working with a man from Iran on grammar and pronunciation, focusing on matching singular and plural nouns and verbs. He has been in the US for three years, so his English is quite good, but this subject is tricky. He is a retired teacher who moved to Seattle to be near his son. His other grown children are also in the States, and all of them have medical or doctoral degrees. An accomplished family.
I thought I would take a look out at the mountains from the balcony on the top floor of my building, and it was just lovely up there - sunny, not windy, and cool. There was so much to see - birds of many kinds sailing around too quickly for me to catch on film, and the Cascades standing tall. I chose the wrong time to go - the sun in the west was so strong that I could barely see what I was photographing looking south. This was a lucky shot - I got a bird, and Mt. Rainier too. I'll have to come up again earlier in the day to see what I can catch.
Just a glance over the blips from all of you tells me I've got a lot of wonderful images to look forward to. Hope you're all enjoying fine weather and good inspiration.
