A new personal Best!

Day 2 of the trip and this big Thornback Ray took my Bluey and Sandeel cocktail at about 90 yards in Loch Leven. I'd guess she weighed over 5lbs, which is a new best for me with this species.

The weather was absolutely tremendous. Glorious sunshine, and just a breath of wind. Enough to keep the midges at bay.

Adam took a codling, a dab and a couple of smaller rays. I ended up with 12 thornback's in total. My dad spent the day fly fishing nearby and was eventually rewarded with a healthy scrap from a wee joey mackerel.
