Princess Sassy Pants

Dear Diary,

I spent last night with my wonderful cousins Rhonda and Joe.  I knew that my post today had to be their sweet Pomeranian, Sassy.  She is a little fluff ball and does like to pose and the morning light on her fur was especially nice.

We went on our regular Saturday morning jaunt of "thrifting" as well as some much needed retail therapy at local antique shops.  I've added to my collection of cross-stitch samplers and blue and white transfer ware for the porch although it will be a few months before I can hang out there.  It was down right cold today.  But they are promising temperatures in the 40's by mid-week so I am optimistic.

One of my purchases was at the Harvest Hills Thrift shop, which supports a no-kill shelter for dogs and cats.  It was a beautiful Irish wool cardigan made in Ireland in a fisherman's knit pattern and in a lovely soft lavender, one of my favorite colors.  Only $15.00 and it all benefits pets waiting for their forever home.  A win/win I would say.   Yes, a great day all around!
