A little bit confused that yesterday's entry, although uploaded yesterday, appears today. So just to add to what is already a comfortable state of confusion, today's entry is uploaded yesterday.
A day of all-sorts today, including giving in to persistent bugs. And today is the Feast of the Ass, a medieval feast celebrating the Flight into Egypt, celebrated primarily in France. The feast died out as it was thought to be disrespectful, but when celebrated, a girl and a child on a donkey would be led through town to the church, the donkey would stand beside the altar during the sermon and the congregation would "hee-haw" their responses to the priest. There have been times I've thought the feast hadn't died out at all.
