The rowing club conveniently passed under the Shawfield Bridge as I was having my half-way point rest at 5 miles. It reminded me that Himself told me that boys in the Gorbals used to wait for the University rowing club to pass beneath the bridges so that they could drop divots into the water to make a harmless but very annoying splash.

I resisted the temptation.
