Victoria Station

Each time I approach this wrought iron canopy at the station I'm reminded of my childhood holidays at Poulton-le-Fylde.

My Dad, who is 5'6" and a very wiry build, would carry our huge wooden suitcase filled with clothes for the 5 of us, from Stevenson Square bus station to the train station at Victoria. I don't know how he did it, as the case weighed a ton before anything was in it.

The huge case came in very handy for seating 3 children on a crowded Blackpool bound train!
