Sunrise over the Tyne Valley

This was taken on the way home from work this morning.  By the time I was driving into the village the sun was rising behind me and the mist in the valley was slowly burning off.  I stopped near a local quarry and quickly took this shot.  

Looking forward to a couple of days off now and trying to get organised for going away on our transatlantic ski trip which is just 10 days away now.  A couple of days ago I booked our ski hire online and when the email confirmation came through I realised that the hire period started today so I had to make a hurried call to Canada to rearrange to start on 26th Jan.  Thank goodness I realised or we would have had skis ready for collection 2 weeks early!
