Sir Walter Scott looks to have a resigned expression in this Perth statue. It's suffering; he's streaked and mossy, and the dog by his side has fallen off.

I'd taken my car into a nearby garage (Struans- always helpful) to have a puncture fixed, and intended to walk around while waiting. However the pavements were icy and the wind was cold, and after five minutes I returned to the warmth of the waiting room.
